My childhood struggle. My grandmom didn’t give one single solitary fuck about the whiplash she was giving me. And when she tried to comb through…don’t even get me started. Let’s just say, I cried REAL THUG tears.

^^that, plus many combs broken

Broken combs, tears, migraine headaches, almost missing the bus doing this shit in the morning… LORD!

Dont forget getting popped with the brush or comb because of moving !!

don’t forget about having to slap your scalp because your braids were too goddamn tight to scratch

the struggle is so real…smh Do we even want to talk about neck/side of the head burns from the hot comb?

my mom burned my ear so many times because of the hot comb ;3;
whenever i cried she would rap my scalp with the wide tooth comb she was using to part my hair and call me ‘tenderheaded’ :(

RIP to all the broken combs

This is speaking to my soul

Looking back, I’ve come to believe not a damn one of us was tenderheaded.  Our mothers/grandmothers/aunts/cousins/sister in laws just didn’t give a fuck.  They just wanted to get done.  No matter our hair texture or hair length, we all went through the same damn thing.  When I was growing up, I said I’d never do that when I have kids.  Then, I got nieces.  LOL

But lets talk about the rat tail comb being dug into your scalp when she started parting 😩

If y’all aren’t preaching right now 🙌😩

CHUUUCH

Lmao my granny never even put my hair in sections so she can comb it out easier nah she just combed straight on through and my mama one time dropped that pressing comb on my shoulders….lawwwdddd

My mom used to go through the whole process on Sunday nights. During the week she just sprayed the baby hairs and combed it back 😂

dance moms is bring it for people who don’t understand independent hip rotation?

For all the talk on my dashboard daily about representation and all the complaining you all do I’m not understanding the lack support for the show Bring It on lifetime.
